The cushion covers began as quick, loose sketches, simplifying the scene of my dried hydrangeas in a jug, in the studio.
 
I was exploring shapes, lines, and compositions. These studies help guide the sewing.
 
It was a playful approach to finding compositions I liked, and these works on paper will always remind me of feeling creatively free and finding my love of drawing again.
